Reviewer actions

The reviewer keeps common actions close to the card and groups the rest under More actions. Card actions change only the current card unless you explicitly choose the note-sibling scope. Note actions affect shared fields, tags, or every card generated from that note.

Reveal and rate

Click the card or press Space or Enter to reveal it. After reveal, Space or Enter rates the card Good. Number keys 1–4 choose Again, Hard, Good, and Easy.

By default, number keys do nothing before the answer is visible. A power-user preference can enable immediate number-key ratings, but reveal-first review is safer because it encourages an honest comparison.

When a template uses {{type:Field}}, type the answer and press Enter to reveal the comparison. Repeto never converts the comparison into an automatic rating; choose Again, Hard, Good, or Easy yourself.

Undo the last rating

Press U to undo the most recent rating in the current session. Undo restores the card’s previous scheduling state and returns it to the queue. It also works after the rating has synchronized: pending ratings are removed from the durable outbox, while confirmed ratings use the server undo contract. It is intended for an accidental click, not for repeatedly searching for a preferred interval.

Edit the current note

Press E to open the note fields directly on the card. Save the correction to continue, or press Esc while editing to cancel the editor without ending the session.

Because fields belong to the note, a saved edit can affect sibling cards created from the same note type.

Flag or mark material

Choose one of seven flag colors for the current card, or clear its flag. On macOS use Command-0 through Command-7; on other platforms use Ctrl-0 through Ctrl-7. Flags belong to one card and can be searched in the collection browser.

Press * to add or remove the note’s marked tag. Because a mark belongs to the note, every sibling shares it.

Bury or suspend

Press B to bury the current card until the next scheduler day, or Shift-B to bury every live sibling from the note. Burying preserves scheduling and review history. If the selected deck has buried cards, Unbury appears above the reviewer and returns cards from that deck and its descendants to the queue.

Press S to suspend the current card indefinitely, or Shift-S to suspend every sibling. Suspension and burial are mutually exclusive. A suspended card leaves normal study but its note, schedule, and history remain. To restore suspended material, find it with is:suspended in Card browser, select the relevant cards or notes, and choose Unsuspend.

When enabled in a global preset or deck’s private scheduling copy, Repeto automatically buries eligible new, review, and interday-learning siblings across decks. Intraday learning cards remain available. All three switches are off by default; syncing a deck from its preset replaces the deck copy’s three values.

Leeches

A genuine Again on a review card increments its lapse count. At the configured leech threshold, Repeto adds the searchable leech tag to the note and shows a recovery notice. The seeded Default preset uses Anki’s threshold of 8 and suspends the problem card; you can choose Tag only in deck options when you want the card to remain active. Later warnings repeat every half-threshold lapses, rounded down with a minimum of one.

The tag is note-scoped, while suspension is card-scoped. Editing the note, searching tag:leech in Card browser, and using Unsuspend after remediation provide a deliberate path back into study. Undo restores the exact earlier card and tag state without removing a leech tag still owned by another sibling warning.

Reset or set a due date

Press Shift-R to return the current card or all note siblings to the new queue. Resetting preserves the review history. You may also reset repetition/lapse counts and restore the original new-card position.

Press D to set a due date in days from today for the current card or all note siblings. This is a manual scheduling action, not a review rating.

Inspect card information

Press I for the current card or Shift-I for the previously answered card. Card Info shows identity, deck, note type, template, state, queue, due data, interval, step or position, flags, marks, burial and suspension, repetitions, lapses, answer and study time, FSRS stability, difficulty and current retrievability, and timestamps. Its paginated history records each rating, state transition, answer time, interval, and memory-state change. History day labels use the account’s configured IANA timezone and scheduler rollover, including daylight-saving gaps and folds.

Listen and compare your voice

Authored audio plays in template order on each face. Answer audio omits any duplicate clip already introduced through FrontSide. Press R or F5 to replay the current face, P to pause or resume, and [ or ] to seek five seconds backward or forward.

Press V to start or stop a temporary microphone recording and Shift-V to replay it. The recording exists only in memory, is limited to two minutes, and is destroyed when you change card or presentation. Repeto explains microphone permission failures and how to retry. Temporary voice is for self-comparison: it is not uploaded, saved to the note, transcribed, or graded by AI.

Copy or delete a note

Press N to create a new note from the current fields, tags, note type, and deck. The copy receives new identities and fresh cards; scheduling, flags, and review history are not copied.

Choose Delete note to remove the note and all of its sibling cards after confirmation. This action cannot be undone. Deleting never removes only one generated sibling.

Open deck options

Choose Deck options to open settings for the current card’s concrete home deck. This navigates away from the reviewer; an explicit return-to-session handoff remains to be completed.

End the session

Press Esc when no editor or dialog is open, or choose End session. Repeto flushes pending review writes before leaving. Dialogs and editors consume Escape first, so closing an overlay does not accidentally end the session.

Shortcuts are ignored while focus is inside an input, textarea, select, content editor, or unrelated dialog.

Remaining limits

Web, iOS, and Android all persist ratings before advancing and replay them idempotently after reconnect, but native clients still expose fewer reviewer actions than the web reference surface. Automatic audio policy is not yet a deck option, and temporary voice does not perform pronunciation scoring. Their required behavior is recorded in Anki parity roadmap.
