Why spacing helps

Every memory changes at a different rate.

Without retrieval, recall usually becomes less likely over time. A successful review strengthens the memory. FSRS uses your own review history to estimate each card and choose its next interval; the chart below illustrates that idea rather than predicting your retention.

Is Repeto free?

Yes — and reviewing stays free forever. The free plan includes unlimited manual cards, unlimited review with FSRS scheduling, 10 AI card generations a week, Anki import/export, and 100 MB of media storage. Pro removes the generation limit, unlocks generating cards from material (PDFs, links, audio, photos), and raises storage to 5 GB.

Is it Anki-compatible?

Repeto supports import and export of compatible Anki .apkg packages, including deck, card, and media data. Use the import preview and test a representative deck first, especially if it has custom templates or a newer package format. Imported cards are reviewed with FSRS, and you can export to .apkg again when you want to verify portability.

Does it work offline? Does it sync?

Both. The web app at app.repeto.ai keeps working offline and syncs when you reconnect. The Repeto update for iPhone and iPad is in preparation; App Store download claims will appear here when that update is publicly released.

Can the AI flashcard generator make cards from PDFs and notes?

Yes. Use a typed term, pasted notes, PDFs, Word documents, article URLs, Wikipedia pages, YouTube videos, audio or video lectures (transcribed first), or photos of textbook pages. Larger sources run as background jobs. Repeto returns an editable proposal batch so you can verify, revise, and approve cards before they enter review.

Can I edit AI-generated flashcards before studying them?

Yes. Repeto treats generated cards as a proposed batch, not a finished answer key. Check the questions against your source, edit wording or context, remove duplicates and trivia, and approve only the cards worth adding to your review queue.

What is FSRS?

The Free Spaced Repetition Scheduler is an open algorithm that estimates a card's memory state from your review history and chooses a next interval for a target retention setting. It is also available in modern Anki. You rate each review Again, Hard, Good, or Easy; FSRS updates the estimate and schedule.

Is my data mine?

Completely. Export your entire collection as .apkg whenever you want, and delete your account — and everything in it — from the app at any time.

Is there an iPhone or iPad app?

The Repeto update for iPhone and iPad is coming soon. The Repeto web app is at app.repeto.ai, and this page will link to the App Store once the Repeto update is publicly released.
