The Repeto extension opens a review in the web app. It does not hold your Repeto password or generate cards automatically.
Install the preview extension
The Chrome extension is in development and is not published in the Chrome Web Store. These steps apply if you already have a development copy.
- Open chrome://extensions, enable Developer mode, choose Load unpacked, and select the unzipped folder containing manifest.json.
- Pin Repeto from the browser’s Extensions menu.
Send only the content you choose
Select a word on a web page and choose Review in Repeto from its context menu, or open the extension and choose Use selected text.
- You can also paste a list with one word per line, or choose a local PDF of up to 20 MB.
- Repeto opens a review tab. Sign in if needed, choose individual words or document vocabulary, and select a deck.
- Select up to 20 words and choose Create cards. For longer text or a PDF, the separate study-card option requires Pro.
Private captures and browser limits
The extension reads a selection only when you use it. It does not collect your browsing history. Captures expire after one hour, and you can discard them from the review page.
- If a protected page or PDF viewer prevents text access, paste the text or choose the PDF file instead.
- Close or discard a capture when you are done. Creating cards uses your plan’s allowance.
