Write a cloze note

Choose a cloze note type when adding a note.

  1. Write a sentence with enough context to identify the missing answer.
  2. Mark the hidden text with cloze syntax, for example: Water freezes at {{c1::0°C}}.
  3. Preview and save the note.

Choose what to hide

Keep the surrounding words useful.

  1. Use a different cloze number for a separate deletion, such as c2.
  2. Review the generated cards and check that each missing part has a clear answer.
